I WISH A PLACE IN YOUR HEART

A  traveller on this planet I am

Seeking knowledge from door to door

And stretching my hands for a friendship

Strewing all the pearls here and there

For the gain of many all and sundry.

Nor a bit of praise I want for my cart

Tears I have enough to plunge me

Evils I have much to hate

I wish only a place in your heart.

I know I don’t have a single quality

While others like you possess many

I hope you’ll not look at my faults
